FOSS STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATION
Public Consultation on FOSS Amendments – August 2026
Dear Kenya Flower Council Members,
We would like to inform you that the KFC FOSS has been amended with the updated Sustainable Supply Chain Initiative (SSCI) Social Criteria v2.1 and Environment Criteria v2.0, in order to retain its recognition under the FSI Basket of Standards. This recognition gives the flower producers audited and certified under FOSS continued access to the EU market, based on the FOSS compliance to the Environment, Social, and Good Agricultural Practice Criteria set by Floricultural Sustainability Initiative (FSI).
As required under the E1.0 Standards Setting and Review Procedure, the amendments made by the KFC Secretariat are subject to a two-month public consultation with users (stakeholders). The full amended clauses are available in this document for your reference. Please review these before submitting your feedback.

This consultation runs from 11 August 2026 to 11 October 2026.
All feedback received will be compiled into a report and submitted to the KFC Technical Committee and the Certification Scheme and Standards Board of Directors Committee for their further review and conclusion.
